Explain HPV cervical cancer vs HPV genital warts or are they the same????
I have what I believed was an in grown hair..However I cant find a hair, now this could be due to the fact that it is close to the crease of my thigh. I was told that I have HPV due to an abnormal pap
canceous cells. Now I freaked out asking how i could have an std the only thing I was told was no its just the virus that causes cervical cancer not to worry too much 80% of women have this. Next time I had a normal pap
and was told just to do my yearly. Does this mean I have genital warts? I was told about the hpv when i was 16 bt never anything about warts or ever had any bumps til now. Is it normal to get one small bump? Help me understand. Please!
of HPV causing skin warts is different from the one causing cervical cancer. So if you are having HPV causing cervical cancer risk then it does not necessarily mean that the bump that you are having is a wart. However you can confirm the diagnosis by getting a biopsy skin done.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
