Extra Skin

I have had an odd problem for several years. I cannot easily shed old skin. It is rather rubbery and no matter how much I scrub myself in the shower I can never get it all off, even with fierce strokes with a luffah. There is always more to rub off. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is? There is no infection involved and no discoloration.

Further comment. Could it be related to mercury poisoning? I was diagnosed with mercury and lead poisoning about three years ago. I went part-way through the chelation process but had to stop. I remember that my skin was coming off in thin sheets before treatment.

Or could this be some other form of poisoning?

No need to answer this post. I saw my doctor today and asked him about it. He said it was of no importance, just an individual trait that he had seen before.
