Extreme skin exfoliation

Hello!
I was in Cancun, Mexico for two weeks in July.  I have olive colored skin and don't burn easily.  I hardly wore sunblock ( I know, terrible!) while I was there.  I had a sunburn on my forearms and forehead and little bit of peeling during the second week, but nothing major. The burn on my arms was sore to the touch, but did not blister or cause me any extra concern aside from I should be using sunblock!  However, since I have been home my skin is basically washing off!  If I were to use a white wash cloth it is COVERED in skin flaking off.  It is more than just flaking off, so much comes off that it clumps together.  When I shave my legs, the razor becomes backed-up with skin.  This is completely disgusting.  I moisturize with Aveeno after showering and my skin does not feel dry during the day.  Additionally, it seems I am bruising very easily.  I can hit my shin on something and there will be a swollen lump for a week.  Of course, hitting your shin hurts but a big lump seems excessive.  I don't know if the two are related, but thought I would add that.  The easy bruising has been an issue for a year or two, or at least that is when I noticed.
I was checked for diabetes (in case anyone is thinking this route!) last year while I was pregnant, but was fine.  Also, I had blood work done and nothing came up alarming.

What could the cause be?  What can help?
Thank you to anyone who has some helpful thoughts!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hello,
Apply cool compresses on the area and take bath with cool(not very cold) water. Do not scrub your skin or shave your skin and use a soft towel and gently pat your skin dry. Also use a sunburn Over-The-Counter remedy containing aloe vera and a light moisturizer or a dusting powder to relieve chafing. You can apply silver sulfadiazine (1% cream) on the skin except face and see if it helps. If the symptoms still persist then you should consult a dermatologist and discuss the option of dermabrasion or laser resurfacing.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Also, as I've been reading about skin conditions I see a lot about a person's health being a route cause.  So, I thought I would add that I am slim, moderately active, and eat a well-rounded diet for the most part.
