Extremely itchy Ears inside & outer for 2 years Fungus? or exzema

I have the same but WORSE,it's a vicsious cycle, i jab q-tips just to relieve the severe itch, I also have become a compulsive  scratcher for almost two years, It itches, I scratch, It itches worse, I scratch so badly it hurts i have to pick the flakes, it gets so sore & bleeds. I put neo-sporin, it gets more flaky, I put hydr-cortizone, it still itches....But, my ears itch topically where you can see it AND way deep like an alleregy itch. I can't take it anymore! I hide my ears with my hair, I walk away from friends or co-workers just to itch them! so embarrassing, now I'm getting an itchy small patch on the back of my neck, and have a form of exzcema on my fingertips like little blisters? Are they contagious like from ear to fingers to neck, i dont know what do! MY dr. said use VINEGAR! I did it burned like Acetone!!! worst thing i could have done!!!
PLEASE HELP ME

One day I think I walked through a spider web and kept thinking it may have gotten into my ear.  Since that day, my ears (both) itch outside the ear and just at the entrance.  I keep trying to put my finger there to see if there is a bug or anything crawling but it isn't.  Sometimes it is both ears at a time, and some times individually.  I haven't scratched to make any skin irritation - when it crawls,I just rub it a little and it goes away for a while.  I don't use q-tips - only a face cloth to clean my ears.  I have been to an ear specialist with tinitus - which can't be cured, and I don't know if this has anything to do with the crawly feeling or not.  My hearing is really good so it isn't affecting me in that respect.  Has anyone had this and what did you do to get rid of it.  I feel like insects are crawling outside my lower ear.

My itchy ear started over ten years ago when I went to a beauty parlor to have my hair washed and blown dry.  The girl who washed my hair was a daughter of the owner who was mentally challenged .  She got a lot of water in my ears and from that day on, the itcyiness started.  Do not know if a fungas started then, or something else,  Do you know

thank you dr, maybe you misunderstood, I never poured liquid into my ears, I did try to absorb the wetness with q-tips. thanks for your time, I have posted here because of my uncles undiagnosed issues, maybe you can help with it...

My uncle (55) the example of perfect health-Never Smoked or Drank) has been seen by numerous Specialists, since 2005! been tested for everything under the sun. He went from serious flu-like symptoms, to truly almost dying about three times, he believed he was close to death. Everything from nausea, passing out, weight loss(50 lbs.), no sleep (afraid he would die), super high fever three weeks at a time, NO appetite, vomitting, And a very very strange sensation in his head, which he still says he cannot explain it, (he cant put it to words, feels like crawling), but it is a freightening sensation to him, it actually creates a fear & sense of urgency  where he calls for someone, anyone in the house to come help, He says also, the actual sensation wakes him up from a dead sleep! He was never told anything but "probably just a virus" no explanation! he eventually got better slowly over 7 months, Then at the exact time of year the following year he said it started again! this time he said the way he felt (the feelings & sensatoins he felt when he finally started to get better the first time around) is how he felt when it started the second time. He no longer goes on rollercoasters says that it can Trigger the feelings in his head? He lives in Maine, does construction, and is a lumberjack type guy. When I said he was tested for everything I mean everything, the last specialist was for luekemia and other types, that Dr said he has the body of 25 year old perfect health! Any DOCTORS please help! What could it be??? I believe ha has not come across the right Doctor!!!

Hi,

In so far as the pregnancy may have caused you to become sensitive and vulnerable, I dont think that this would have any connection with that per se. However, i would say that this may also be due to the water/liquid that you may poured in and then scratched with the q-tip leading to wet ears all the time which may have caused the infection.

I hope this may have helped you. Let me know if you need any more information

Thank you,
That's the first time I heard anything different, Does it make sense that it started when I was Pregnant (2 and a half years ago). I was Hot all the time and every night woke up with very wet ears just leaky, thats when i would get up and start to soak up liquid with
q-tips, then the itching and flaking started...here I am can't stop itching and picking.

Hi,

It does seem that you may have had some kind of infection there. This may be a fungal infection caused by penetration of some fungus. This may also occur by retention of dirty water inside the ears. You are correct in thinking that this may have spread to your fingers and the other ears due to this reason only.

Therefore it is best that you get this examined from a dermatologist who may have to give you some anti histamines and anti fungals to control the itching.

Let me know if you may need any further information
