MY 5 YEARS OLD BOY HAVE SOME FLAT WARTS ( CONFIRMED ) ON THE FOREHEAT, AND THEY ARE GOING MORE AND MORE,, BECAUSE THEY ARE ON THE FACEFace pain, IM WORRY ALSO ABOUT SCARS,, WHAT KIND OF TOPICAL TREATMENT CAN YOU RECOMEND ME TO USE ON HIM??? THANK YOU, YAMI
I understand that you are worried about this. Flat warts however may require a doctor's supervision to remove them. They are flat and thus are closer to the skin unlike cauliflower or pedunculated ( stalked) warts. I would not advise that you apply wart removal medication by yourself. Most wart removal medications are abrasive. Given that these flat warts are on the faceFace pain, you may need a physician to help you remove these.
Electrocautery and cryotherapy have been used in removing warts. However, we are dealing with a child here. We need to determine the best form of therapy for your child. Do not apply any medications without your physician's knowledge and supervision.
