Face skin colored rash.

Face skin colored rash.

4383743?1240427096
East Indian (Asian) male, mid 50, had circular ring like skin infection on both sides of the face more then 20 yrs ago during a summer month. It left darker marks below the eyes. New darker patches have grown over the years. It appears little raised. I have seen many dermatologists: some said dry skin, some said pigmentation problem and prescribed tretinoin and hydroquinon that I tried over years for discoloration but never fully cured.  For a related skin problem on arm and chest area, one physician found yeast Tinea versicolor and prescribed oral anti fungal medicine. The body rash healed, but the face problem remained. Tried many sun blockers over the years but did not notice much help. Summer months seems to make it worse and oil and cream appear to enhance it as well. It is increasing all over the face - probably when I used a french face oil. Any help will be greatly appreciated. A recent picture is added. Thank you in advance.

well i live in arizona .. it is extremely hot and sunny.. and sweat is a given. if this happend during the summer it could have been a really bad case of bacterial infection.. this happend to my cousin on his arms.. it actually started of as a ring worm.. he never got it treated and eventually it spread.. he waited so long to treat it that the discoloration stayed for a long time .. but he kept applying the over the counter stuff to get rid of it and it eventually lightend.. also he put on alot of moisturizer and sun screen.. kept it clean and stayed away from used work out matts or sweaty nasty equipment in the gym.. u might want to wipe it off if u use one..

just a suggestion it kinda looks similar..

Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough, but it can be due to hyperpigmentation of the skin. This darkening occurs when an excess of melanin, the brown pigment that produces normal skin color, forms deposits in the skin.

Treatment involves hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. Also apply sunscreens with a spf of 30 atleast half an hour before going out in the sun.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Warm regards.
