For as long as I can remember I have always had pale red splotchy cheeks, I always assumed I had rosacea. Lately I'm not so sure. The redness is localized on my left jawline, and on the right cheek in a diaganal line from my nose
with make up since I was about 12. I am now 23 and while the redness in my cheeks seems to subside from time to time when it comes back it is always in the exact same spot
and in the exact same pattern. As I mentioned before it is more of a dull red, not that bright pink that you see in people with rosacea flare ups. Unlike rosacea my condition is not worsened by spicy foods, heat
, exercise or any of the other "irritants". I find my condition worsens when exposed to the cold, and sometimes in dry enviorments.
The redness on my left jawline is the most annoying, it is in this pattern of smal oval-shaped smooth red splotches. Also my cheeks seem to be very prone to clogged pores. I wash my face
morning and night, I wear mild lotions and use mineral make up which it not supposed to clog your pores. Yet when you look at my face up close the texture is not smooth, it has all these tiny little bumps which all have what I assume are blackheads inside them. I carefully extract these but it dosen't seem to make a difference in a couple of days they are all filled up again. I have never been acne prone, not in my teens or now. The only time I do get a few pimples is when I try using acne face washes and lotions to try and clean out my pores... that has always confused me.
I guess at this point I'm not sure what to do. I try to reserch my symptoms but all I get is information about Rosacea, but over the counter rosacea treatments havn't helped at all, my redness is not cemetrical and it hase not spread as I've gotten older. I just want to know if there is possibly another condition I should be looking into.
