Facial bacterial infection?

I have developed an acne like rash along the right side of my face and have deduced that it was from sleeping on my ex's chest.  After months of non-contact it has not lessened.  It is reddish and there are only several spots that are raised bumps, most are just discolored.  It sometimes itches and acne washes, etc. just seem to dry out my skin.  Several esthiticians have said that it could be a bacterial infection or fungus.  What specific infections could it be and is Grapefruit Seed Extract a good start to lessening the discoloration?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be pityriasis rosea, pityriasis versicolor or contact dermatitis. Treatment involves topical and oral antifungal medicines. Most cases of fungal infections respond to over-the-counter products, which contain any of several basic ingredients: miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine, ketaconazole and clotrimazole. You can consult a pharmacist and get any cream or lotion containing these ingredients. Some of them are Lamisil, Monistat derm, Mycelex, and Nizoral.

In case the symptoms persist then pls consult a dermatologist.

I hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
