My daughter will be 5 in December and has a small white bump near the corner of her eye. It almost looks like a pimple but is not. It has hard and resembles a piece of rice. It has been about 6 weeks with no change. It is starting to bother her (I think mostly because she knows it is there and is touching it.) Have tried warm compress with no change.
What could this be? and does it need to be lanced by derm?
Thank you.

and eyes. In children milia often disappears within two to four weeks.
This can sometimes be a result of harsh face washes or from repeated heat stress from hot showering on people with sensitive skins. Try to keep it clean and dry. If it persists, it would be best to have this evaluated further by your dermatologist.
