pores, red patches either side of my face with lots of flaking pustles that are sore and very dry. Doctors told me it was acne but I eventually decided it was steroid-induced rosacea. However, more recently I wonder if it is actually seb derm damage from the steroids. My skin doesnt flush as such, and exercise doesnt make it worse. Washing in water aggrivates it but I cant pinpoint it to any foods in particular so think it is localised.
I have tried lots of different creams, diets and antibiotics, some of which worked for a time. Someone has suggested nasal rinsing to clear toxins still in my nasal passages which could be infecting my face.
It's hard to see a dermatologist in the uk unless i see one privately and pay alot as the national health ones i have seen are not so great and try to prescribe steroids or antibiotics which have already given me a blood disorder!
any advice - does this sound like seb derm to you? e45 cream seems to help which i have just started using.
