Fall of eyelashes due to Alopecia

I am suffering from Alopechia (Don't know the correct spelling) for the past 13 years. The disease started off with a small patch on the head and spread to the entire body. I grew fed up, as all sorts of treatment didn't give me any permanent hair on the head and I had to always wear a cap. This totally shattered my confidence level and I gave up the treatment some 3 years back. The problem I am facing now is the dryness of my eyes. My ophthalmologist said refraction and prolonged exposure of the eye to a 22 inch computer monitor might have caused the problem. I got new glasses but the problem still persists sometimes. What I now noticed is that dude to my early disease, I don't have any eyelashes and am guessing that due to this my eyes might be getting dry every now and then. Please give me a solution. Loss of eyelashes can be due to alopecia totalis( in this there is hairfall of scalp as well as eyebrow and eyelashes), blepharitis especially seborrhiec blepharitis, icthyosis or leprosy. Blepharitis is an ocular disease characterized by chronic inflammation of the eyelid margins. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get all these possibilities evaluated.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
