My 101/2 yr. old daughter returned from a ski trip to CO for Spring Break Saturday, and for the last couple of days her skin has been peeling off her fingers
and the skin is red and raw looking. It doesn't seem to bother her, but I'm concerned. Other information I've found said the cold frigid weather / moisture could have been the cause and to simple treat with Aveeno or some other moisturizer. That just doesn't seem to be enough given the 'raw' red skin after the skin peels.
Are there other symptoms present? Cold and dry air can indeed cause dry skin, peeling, and even cracking and bleeding of the fingertips. With her previous ski trip, this is more likely. Other differentials include: trauma, infections, reactions
