Flushed, tight, stinging skin

Help! I am fair skinned and have always blushed and sunburned very easily. Additionally, I have a bright red face when exercising and sweat alot from my head. When I drink alcohol, my face is usually flushed in varying patterns. When I get upset or angry, I have a flushed face and neck. As if this was not enough to deal with, over the course of the last few months, after intense exercise, my nose and the area of skin around my nose (from eyes almost to mouth) stay flushed and hot for hours if not all day and become stinging with a tightness sensation. I do not have acne, bumbs, or roughness. It actually feels very smooth.  Please, any suggestions??? I do not want to give up intense exercise so any treatment?

the blushing and redness is from the blood flow to your face and those areas. Blood flow incretion can cause all sorts of sensations.

Personally I blush easily myself. You can check out regular skin creams like Aveno which have oatmeal in them. Oatmeal is VERY calming to the skin.

Otherwise talk to your Dermatologist.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Flushing skin is a sudden and involuntary reddening of the face, neck and ears. You can overcome it by psychological counseling with a psychologist/psychiatrist and boosting up your confidence levels. The treatment of severe blushing includes anti anxiety medicines and beta blockers. Severe cases may need endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy(ETS).Please discuss about this possibility with your doctor. Also then get rosacea ruled out.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
