Folliculitis or STD?

Hi. About a year and a half ago now I had intercourse for the first time with a girl who had been sexually active before. A few months after the encounter, I had these pimple looking bumps appear in my pubic area. I had been shaving that area so I shrugged them off as razor bumps or maybe folliculitis since I've had folliculitis before in other areas. The bumps have now been there for almost a year now, but do seem to be fading away some. Sometimes they'll be able to pop and a white puss will come out. I imagine if they were herpes or something then they would be on my shaft as well, but I'm still not sure. Thank you.

These can be small irritated hair follicles or small cysts. Blocked sebaceous glands, swollen hair follicles and excessive testosterone production will cause such cysts.

Generally no treatment is required but they become painful then it means they are infected,Then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required. But recurrence is quite common. I suggest you to get the diagnosis confirmed from a dermatologist after examination.
