Folliculitis.. warts... help me please

by ?uestlove, Dec 23, 2006 12:00AM
Ok so let me start off by sayin i am a 20 yr old male.. and about 7 months ago i made the mistake of sleeping with a women unprotected.. i went to my local clinic and got check for all the curable things. I have since then not shown any real signs of anything.. But with in the past month i have noticed in high increase in the amount of lil bumps on my penis.. Now i have always seen a few of these near the base of my penis, but now they have spread to the shaft, they appear on both sides of my undershaft. Now normally this wouldnt worry me, but the increase has become quite noticable to me.. At first i jus thought they were Folliculitis  but now i am severly worried.. They appear as lil pin head bumps, but some are larger than that .. with my skin not stretched out u can barely notice them n they look jus like light spots on the skin, but when stretched out they have a small bump to them. My questions are

Does this sounds like genital warts?

Does Folliculitis grow on the shaft?

If it is Folliculitis why the sudden increase?

And does Folliculitis  tend to appear in clusters?

thank you

I think these are small cysts that are common on the penis.  You probably are paying more attention to them since you're worried.  I doubt any STD.  Please show these to a doctor, so you ignore these spots, which are almost certainly completely unimportant.

Best.

They are normal - everyone (including me) has them if they stretch the penile skin and look closely.
