Folliculitis???

I have recently developed red bug bite looking spots that itch on my buttocks and groin and pubic region. I have showed a photo of some of the area to a nurse and their assumption was folliculitis. The I have been showering often and putting a powder over the areas to keep it dry. The spots seem to go away and leave some crusting over. I have heard this can affect any area with hair and I recently have had to walk far distances unlike I have before and I believe that with the long distances being walked and the denim of my jeans rubbing against those areas that this has caused folliculitis. However, i am still a little scared because mixed in with the red irritated itchy spots are a few scattered blister looking spots as well they are very small and not in a cluster. The red spots that I believe to be folliculitis also are not in a cluster and none of the spots are painful except for one that I believe was infected due to me popping it. I have been making an effort to shower 2 a day and keep the areas dry it seems to be getting better however some new scatters spots will pop up every few days but nothing like when they initially started to. This did not start until a week or so after I had started wearing pants and walking those distances and the spots have been consistently crusting over and going away but then some news ones show up. I have been dealing with this for roughly a month now. I would like any opinion on what this could be. I do not directly have any blisters or spots on my penis just in that general area. i am a little worried as to what it is and what could help it go away. Please if you have any input type it in, Thanks so much.

I have been keeping the area dry and some of the areas of what looks like folliculitis have appeared to be drying up. However, I have recently noticed a rash on the underside of my shaft down to about half of my srotum. There are tiny red dot like marks throughout the rash, no blisters, and it does not burn to pee and it does not hurt to touch the rash or srotum. I am a little  concerned, my last sexual experience was roughly 3-4 months ago and this is the first time a rash like this has occured and with herpes they say sypmtoms appear within 2 weeks of the intercourse. This however is goin on 4 months later and have had only the symptoms of folliculitis up to this rash and those symptoms of folliculitis appeared roughly 2 months after the intercourse which makes sense because thats when I started wearing the jeans due to the colder weather and the constant rubbing I believe has caused those spots of folliculitis. This rash however does not burn unless I am in the shower with hot water and only itches occasionally. I went and bought some anti-fungal cream and started applying it to the area a day or so ago but they say results may take up to a couple of weeks. I am really concerned as to what is going on. I do not have flu like symptoms or swollen glands or any sort. It does not burn to urinate and there are no watery filled looking blisters in the area. It is simply a rash that starts from the head of my penis down to the mid-way point of my scrotum. It appears very red at times. I am cleaning the area which sometimes causes irritation due to the scrubing and hot water. I am applying anti-fungal cream and powder to the areas to keep them dry and medicated. These folliculitis symptoms have been occuring for roughly going on two months now. Please Help and give me some information on what this is.
Thanks very much

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be folliculitis caused by irritated skin or scabies bites. However if you have had any unprotected intercourse, then the chances of herpes also needs to be ruled out. Scabies is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
