Foreskin swollen

Just this morning, i took a bath ..then after i put on my clothes..i noticed that my penis' foreskin is itchy. I tried to endure the itchiness and i did.  After a while, i was about to masturbate when suddenly i noticed that it is already swollen. Im thinking that something has bit me but it wouldnt me logical since my penis is sealed with my breifs.  The swelling isnt that rough or irrtating but its really soft but not watery. This scares the **** out of me because this place is known for Philariasis and i dont want that. Please help

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
These symptoms can be due to balanoposthitis. Oral course of antibiotics is needed. In addition, don’t use any cosmetics on the penis, instead use some topical antimicrobials like Bacitracin or Lotrimin. Also corticosteroids and topical immunosuppressants can be used but they are available under prescription. Also retract the foreskin daily and soak in warm water to clean penis and foreskin. In case the symptoms persist then consult a urologist/dermatologist for evaluation and antimicrobials and steroids prescription.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
