Fungus, whats most effective way to treat them?

Hello, name sammy, my question is following:

I have few white spots on my face which doctor told me its fungus.  I been using  "Clotrimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate Cream UPS 1%/0.05% (base)"  for past 3 weeks n hasn't help, the spots increase a little?  Any advice doctor or maybe another different medicine that i can tell my dermantology about? I like to get advice from more than just one doctor.  

Also what can be the cause of fungus growing on my neck, mostly every summer?  Any ways i can prevent it or change something to help get rid of them?

Hi Sammy.  My son was playing soccer outside alot during the summer and he developed several white spots on his face.  I researched it on the web and determined that it was probably caused by a really common fungus (can't remember the name).  The fungus falls from the hair (didn't really see much going on in his hair, just a few flakes that looked like very mild dandruff) and onto the person's skin.  Then it blocks the sun from getting to the skin, yada, yada, yada.. The is a selsun blue shampoo that you can buy to get rid of  the fungus but to tell you the truth we just used head and shoulders shampoo a few times.  The spots on his face cleared up in a few weeks.  I didn't think it would work but it really did.  Maybe it's worth a try for you.  Good luck.
