Genital HPV diagnosed but not sure

Hi,

I had a little round dark gray wart like pimple on my penis which diagnosed as HPV at std clinic. But when i checked my body at home i saw that there are many of them on my stomach, chest and face which are simillar to what was on penis by colour, shape and dimension. They are not larger than 1-2mm. Can this be different types of HPV or some other kind of skin condition?

It can be due to a benign growth like seborrheic keratosis or due to HPV wart which is very contagious and can spread by touch from one part of body to another. You should consult a dermatologist to get it examined and preferably get a biopsy skin done to confirm the diagnosis. HPV warts are contagious, so till you have the active lesions any physical contact should be avoided.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
