Genital Wart Freezing, but scraped

I have recently been told i had genital warts. i went once and had it frozen off by a dermatologist. it swelled into a black scab and fell off. the genital wart came back, which is common so i repeated.

my question is this, once i got it removed again, my doctor told me no sexual contact for a week. it had been about 6 days, the wart had turned into a small black scab again, so i had sex with my girlfriend with a condom. when i took the condom off, the rubbing of it must have taken the scab off.  Is this okay? It didn't fall off "naturally", but is it all right? or does the scab need to be on there?  Does this mean the treatment wouldn't take?
