Genital Warts, Herpes, Folliculitis? Not sure, please help...

About a week and a half ago, I had sex with a girl I met out at a bar.  We used a condom, and the encounter was rather brief.  However, about 5 days after the encounter, I noticed a red bump on the base of my penis.  I squeezed it, and a small amount of pus came out.  The bump is still here today, yet smaller.  It appears to be healing.  However, the alarming thing to me was that in my pubic hair area, which I keep shaved rather regularly, are around 3 to 4 red/pink bumps in random spots.  They are not painful, but a little sensitive to touch.  They aren't very big, and are not very noticeable unless looking closely.  I am a bit worried/confused about what these bumps could be, because I know that herpes begins as blisters, and genital warts take longer than a week to show symptoms.  So, what do you think that this might be?  Also, I should include that the area between my testicles and the side of my penis is sore.  Not sure why, but upon inspection, it shows no inflammation or sores.  So, in conclusion, here's my questions:
1.) The bump on the base of my penis that I squeezed is larger than these other bumps, any ideas on what it might be?  (No blistering, or scabs.)
2.) These small red bumps on my pubic area, could they be herpes related?  They are hard to the touch, and noticeable to the touch.  They are not in close proximity to each other, but are sometimes slightly itchy or sensitive.  Any ideas?
3.) Soreness between the area of my penis/testicles (right side).  Friction related, or something more?

I know it is tough to answer these sort of questions without a visual diagnosis, but try to do the best you can to quell my fears regarding this issue.  Thanks for your time.

I think all the symptoms you describe are far more likely to be folliculitis than herpes.  The bumps don't sound like blisters, and they aren't clustered near each other as they would be in herpes.  Friction from sex can cause such folliculitis.  My advice is to leave the bumps alone, and wait them out.  If, as I expect, they fade away and don't come back, you can forget about them.  If they don't go away in a week or so, have a doctor check them out.  They still probably won't be herpes, but you can get a definitive diagnosis.

Take care.

Also, I forgot to add that where I live, it is summer and usually around 80-85 degrees on a daily basis.  Not sure if that would influence your prognosis, but just to give you a heads up and a better idea of my environment.  Thanks again.

Gosh, I feel like an idiot posting another comment, but I keep remembering little details I forgot to include in my original post.  The 3 bumps in my pubic area don't seem to have hairs growing out of them, and upon closer inspection, seem to be more pink/fleshy colored than red.  Just wanted to clarify, sorry for the misinformation.

I had a similar experience to this and I would bet it is only folliculitis.  Don't play with it, heck don't even look at it.  If you leave it alone it will most likely go away in a week or two.  Otherwise, just see a doctor and that will make you feel better if he tells you it isn't an STD.  Hey, you wore a condom didn't you?  I'd say there's a very good chance this is nothing STD related at all.  Good luck to you.

I have read the above. I have personal experience with the same symptom your describing. I have also had a red bump and a little white tip pimple appear in my pubis area on my skin. I have gone to a doctor to check this out and it turned out to be a ingrown hair. It made sense to me b/c i had shaved myself with a razor a day before, thus causing a sore to pop up. You should try to remeber to see if you have shaved any hair in the area prior to the pimple (red bump) appearing. I am not a doctor, however thought i'd let you know about this experience. You should still go into a doctor to just be certain..
