Genital Warts and Coommon warts question.

by Joshua88, Jun 07, 2007 12:00AM
Dear Doc,

I was diagnosed with Genital warts last November 06.  I've been under treatment ever since... and I'm happy to report that my case is somewhat improving... Never had the right opportunity to thank you and Doc HHH for the motivation and hope you've given me through answering my past queries.

But I've got a present issue... I've got a couple of common warts on my left palm.  And was diagnosed with warts in both my underarms... I was treated... but the warts in my underarms... just keep coming... And I've noticed small warts in my arms too... I've got a scheduled treatment this coming week...

My questions Are...

1.Are my present warts in my underarms, arms and palm related to my genital warts? If not, where did i get this? I'm an outdoor guy and i sweat a lot, is this a factor?

2.Did i accidentally pass my genital warts to my palm and eventually pass it to my arms and underarms? or is this a totally different issue?

3. If it is a different virus, Can I pass my warts from my palm to my genitals, simply through touching?

I know that common warts aren't much to worry about, but im just worried that my warts in my palm, arms and underarms be passed to my genitals...

I need your advice Doc.

Thanks in Advance and more power to this forum.  It helped me a lot and I'm sure it help and will help more people too... Thousands of Thanks Docs.

First of all, you can't spread warts from the hands to genitals and vice versa and so on.  Otherwise, we'd all be covered with warts.  Second, I'm a bit skeptical about the diagnosis of warts in the underarms.  I think in 30 years I've seen exactly one case of warts in that location.  Maybe you want to get another opinion on that, even possibly a biopsy to see what the growths you get actually are....

Best.
