Genital Warts?

by retusi, Sep 09, 2004 12:00AM
Dr. Rockoff,

I am writing because I have noticed 3 toothpick size pimples on the shaft of my penis where the skin folds. I have checked the websites that show genital warts pictures but i dont believe they resemble what i have. They look more like tiny pimples with a white head, some of them are a bit pink. two of them are kind of close to each other "under the penis"... and the 3rd one is right on the line grey line where the circumscision line is. All of them are visible without stretching the skin... They dont expand when i stretch my penis.

Question 1: Could these be genital warts??????

Also, my girlfriend was complaining that she felt something like a little skin tag right at the bottom of her vaginal lips. This morning she freaked out because when she wiped her vagina after urinating, she saw a little blood. She looked in websites and she thinks she could have warts. I looked at this lesion she is describing and it looks like a little flab of skin that is bleeding a bit.  She is still going to go the gynecologist just to make sure but i wanted to know if this could also be genital warts.

As far of our sexual history... We are both very conscious about these stds and we dont go around sleeping around. i have been with my present girlfriend for almost 1 year and before me, she was single and did not have any of these symptoms. As for me, I was with my previous ex for almost two years and we never had any of this.

Question 2: Does she have skin tags or warts?

Question 3: What can I do about these lessions that i have on my penis?

I appologize for the length of this post but I want to make sure you clearly understand the situtation.

Thank you for your time and patience.

I think you have small cysts and that your girlfriend probably has a skin tag.  Bleeding is a sign of irritation, not of warts.

Of course, I can't say with certainty what you both have, but your description doesn't sound worrisome.  I suggest you both get examined so you won't have to worry.

Take care.
