Genital itch

by Millogram, Jan 19, 2006 12:00AM
I have had an itch on my penis for quite a few years now.  It comes and goes.  It is on one spot below the head on the left side.  There are no visible effects.  The itching has been increasing in the last 7 months.  I have been treating it with
Cortaid, Cortizone, Neosporum, Aveena, etc.  I get temporary relief.  I have researched the internet and it does not appear to be herpes, Exema (eczema), or Psoriasis.  Any Suggestions?  Millogram

It sounds like mild eczema.  Using occasional 1% hydrocortisone or just moisture lotion should be all you need to do.  Show your doctor next time you have it, so you can know for sure.

Take care.

have you tried an antifungal like Lamasil? Fungi love the moisture there and often do itch, hence "jock itch". You might want to try that while you wait for the doctor to respond (he is usually quite quick).  I am willing to bet he will give you reassuring news so relax :)

I've also have had an itch and red rash for about a year. I saw my internist and was put on chlortrimazole with betamethazone to no avail. I saw a dermatologist and he prescribed pramazone. Still no luck. The rash also seemed to be
slightly moist so I decided to try a powder. I used Dr. Scholl's
foot powder and although it hasn't completely cured it,it is getting much better, and it totally relieves the symptoms. I use it twice a day. Good luck.

hi, I have had what feels like sweating from my vaginal area for some reason all of a sudden. It smells like really bad B.O. The smell goes away once I wash up. I know its not coming from the inside of my vagina (because I checked by ya know) Its always on the outside of my vaginal lips and between my thigh. I know its bound to happen if I am running or being active, but when I wear a skirt with no panties, it seems to happen. I don't want to use something that taste bad or have a strong scent, because ussually when I am wearing a skirt with no panties, its because I plan on my boyfriend going down there...so i guess what my question is there any natural remedy it stop vaginal sweating? Thank you
.janae.

Try using a little underarm deodorant. I use it under my breasts and on the inside of my thighs.  No sweating and no smell!
Be careful not to use it too near the delicate vaginal area.  It might sting, etc.
