Granuloma annulare

I have a pretty severe case of GA with granulomas all over my legs, arms, and torso.  I get injections of aristocort every 3 months to keep it from being so inflamed, but there is no sign of remission.  I have had this condition for about 4 years and it is steadily getting worse.  I am to the point of no short sleeves or shorts.  I have 2 stainless steel plates in my forearm from a broken arm.  I am wondering if these plates have anything to do with this condition or if anyone knows of any other effective treatments.
