Green spot (freckle?) on skin

Hi,

My daughter is 4 weeks old and was born with a very small bright green spot (freckle?) on her scalp.  Does anyone have any idea what this could possibly be?  Should I be concerned?  Can freckles be colored like this?

Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination,but it sounds like a birth mark like Mongolian spot.

These flat birthmarks can be deep brown, slate gray, or blue-black in color.They mostly fade by puberty but can remain permanent also.

If unsightly then you can have them removed by NdYAG laser when she grows up.
