Groin Acne

I have had "pimples" that are on the base of my penis that come back every 30 to 60 days.  They grow a bit larger then dry and go away just like pimple.  They look like whitehead pimples.  When they first appeared i went to my doctor and he prescribed a presctiption strength acne cream and some anti biotics. But they come back.  I have been treating them with benzol peroxide.  I have a picture of a recent oubreak please let me know what you think.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi.

This appears to be a case of folliculitis. Folliculitis appears on  hair follicle rich regions of the body such as the groins, the arm pits ,the chest and the arms. This may be contagious and may spread to other parts of the body. These skin conditions may also be recurrent. Culture of the discharge may help guide treatment. You may need to modify your medications. Oral medications may be given if the skin condition appears to be resistant to topical medications. You may discuss this with your physician.

Do not apply any medications on the area without physician's supervision.
