Groin Rash

I have been effected by rashes and burning sensations in my groin for the past 7 months. My internist said it was jock itch and after two prescriptions of anti-fungal and cortisone creams he referred me to a dermatologist. The Dermatologist has continued with cortisone creams although stronger than the internist as well as an anti-yeast cream Oxitan. The Dermatologist has taken two scrapings and found no fungus, I also just had a biopsy of the redness which I have not received results yet. My Doctor is convinced it some form of sebbohrea. He had me lay off medication for a month there was some improvement but periodic flareups. He has ruled out any food allergy or detergents as causing this! I am a big guy could chafing be doing this ? I look forward to your thoughts.

My thoughts are this: once you find out that the biopsy showed nothing in particular (and I predict that's what it will show), you should stop all treatments, cortisones, fungal creams, and what have you. Moisturize the skin daily with a bland lotion (like Vaseline Intensive Care.) Powder daily with baby powder. And stop thinking about your groin. Thinking about a part of the body makes it tingle. No good can come of all this attention, once treatment failures have shown that you haven't got yeast or seborrhea, only (at most) chafing.
