Groin Rash

Hi

Background: I'm a sexually active 25yr old male located in the Pacific Northwest (United States). I am otherwise healthy.

Symptoms: I have a rash in the groin region and upper thigh. It consists of many (~20) red spots, located above the base of the penis. The spots have been present for approximately 4 weeks. They are NOT itchy, and are NOT actually bumps (they are flat against my skin). They are NOT tender or painful in any way. The surface of each bump is "scaley," as if they have the beginnings of a scab; but a scab never forms. They are most pronounced underneath the waistline of my boxers.

Treatments: As my body is very prone to rashes, I have tried cortisone to no avail. I have available a topical antibiotic (containing Bacitracin zinc, Neomycin sulfate, Polymyxin B sulfate), Lamisil (Terbinafine Hydrochloride Cream), and Lotrimin (Clotrimazole), but have not tried them yet.
