Guttate?

Hello, I appear to have broken out with Guttate Psoriasis.. After having a seriously sore throat roughly two weeks later I developed red spots ( lightly itchy ) on my forearms which has then slowly progressively spread from my shoulders to my feet. It is more unsightly than unbearable and I wondering how long it normally takes to clear up and also how to determine if it specifically is Guttate Psoriasis. I went to my local doctor and she was at a bit of a loss..( Frankly she seemed to not know much at all. ) I have found more online and self diagnosed myself with this but want to determine if there is some surefire way of determining that this is what I have..

It would be very difficult to say anything with surety without a clinical examination.

Guttate psoriasis is characterized by numerous small round spots (differential diagnosis - pityriasis rosea - oval shape lesion). These numerous spots of psoriasis appear over large areas of the body, such as the trunk, limbs, and scalp. Guttate psoriasis is associated with streptococcal throat infection.

Antibiotics may be employed when an infection, such as that caused by the bacteria Streptococcus, triggers an outbreak of psoriasis, as in certain cases of guttate psoriasis.

Consult a skin specialist so that an appropriate diagnosis can be made.
