HELP!!!! What is This red sore that has purple or black tops.

by rudy6157, Feb 03, 2005 12:00AM
I am a 26 year old male who has not had unprotected sex in about 2 years.  I do have Psoriasis on my elbows and knees.  About 5 days ago, I noticed a painful bump on my scrotum.  I ust figured it was a clogged pore, but it has gotten worse, and now, the bumps are turning black or purple.  I have never had another outbreak like this.  I don't have insurance, .  It is painful, but there is no discharge.

I have uploaded pictures.  The Last few show the best detail.  Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know what black/purple lumps on the scrotum signify.  That description doesn't remind me of anything, sexually-transmitted or otherwise (unless you're scratching bumps, which you should stop if you are.)  In order to find out what this is, you will need to show them to a doctor.  If you don't have insurance, you will need to pay for one visit.  Many important things in life have costs and are not covered by insurance.  I think this is one of them.

Best.

Thinking that it is shingles.

Too blurry to tell.  You'll need to show someone in person.
