HELP! Urgent question, Scared that I have an STD!!!

Well, 5 days ago was the first time I had unprotected sex and my gf was on her last day of her period and she bled while we had sex. I took a shower right after it and I thought everything was ok until 2 or 3 days ago i noticed 3  red bumps on my pubic area above the penis. 1 of the bumps turned into a whitehead it doesn't itch or anything or necessarily hurt (unless I poke it) and one of the other bumps looks like it's turning into a white head or it's an ingrown hair thing, idk yet. The other one seems like it's going away and it's fading. I'm freaking out right now and I'm not sure if I have an STD or not. PLEASE SOMEONE RESPOND TO THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

The symptoms are suggestive of folliculitis. It does not sound like STD’s because there is no other associated symptom like redness, burning, discharge from the penis or bums.

Folliculitis is the inflammation of one or more hair follicles. The condition may occur anywhere on the skin.

Folliculitis starts when hair follicles are damaged by friction from clothing or during intercourse or blockage of the follicle. In most cases of folliculitis, the damaged follicles are then infected with the bacteria Staphylococcus (staph).

Pls keep the area clean and apply some warm compresses. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.

Hope it helps.Kind regards.
