HS - Does it get worse the older you get?

by Ozshaz123, May 21, 2008 06:14AM
I am 45yrs old and have suffered from HS for 28-30 yrs.  I am going through a really bad patch at the moment and am wondering if any other long term sufferers have found that it worsens with age?

I have also found that HS targets a specific area aggressively for 2-3 yrs and then seems to go to the next spot.  Eg; I have not had to cope with boils under my armpits for a number of years but have had lots under my breasts and in the groin area.  At the moment I have huge infection under my armpits, none in the breast area and just the odd one in the groin area.  It has been like this now for 6-12 mths.  It seems to go in cycles!!!
