Hailey-Hailey disease vs Pemphigus Vulgaris

My wife was told that she had Hailey-Hailey disease when she was 17 and has been treating it for over 30 years.  Recently a dermatologist biopsied her back and said she has Pemphigus Vulgaris.  My concern is the fact that PV seems to always be associated with sores and blisters in the mouth.  Her outbreaks always start where the skin is broken.  A bra hook or scratching will cause it to start and then it spreads.   Is it possible to mixup these two disorders?  and will the treatment for PV (Prednisone) work on Hailey-Hailey where we have been using Fluocinonide USP 0.05% ?
