I've been on SpironolactoneSpironolactone Spironolactone plus Spironolactone-hydrochlorothiazide for 3 years for acne. After 1 year I noticed my hair started falling out. It's continued for 2 years now and is obvious and noticable that I've lost more than half of my hair. My dermatologist said to stay on the SpironolactoneSpironolactone Spironolactone plus Spironolactone-hydrochlorothiazide that it's probably not causing the hair loss. My ferritin is 28 which the doctor said is low and could be causing the hair loss. I've been on an iron supplement for a year trying to increase my ferritin. My hair loss is getting worse despite the iron. I've also had my hormones tested and my thyroid, those results were "normalNormal saline flush". Has anyone ever reacted to Sprironolactone with hair loss? Thanks you.
