Hi, I'm not sure if I should post this here or in the gyn board so I'll do both. I'm a 21yr old womanWomen's way in good health but I've noticed that I have these weird "hairs" on my breasts. Some almost look like white headsHead and face reconstruction Head injury Head lice Indications of head injury Radial head injury, some make in indent in the skin. But either way there are littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys hairs that come out. I've tried plucking them (but there are a lot) and when i do, it doesn't stingSting-kill (like it does when you pluck your eyebrows for example) but when the hair comes out there is a tiny white "bulb" that comes out too. It doesn't itch or cause any discomfort at all - I just hate the way it looks. I have larger breasts (D cup) so I don't know if that is a contributor. I'm taking zoloft, welbutrin xl, and lunestaLunesta but I don't see how those could contribute. Thanks so much for any info!!!!
This may be case of hirsutism. Hirsutism refers to excess hair growth in certain parts of the body that are not supposed to contain excessive hairs. This may be due to underlying medications like hormonal therapy and steroids. Also, hormonal problems may have to be considered here. Thyroid hormone levels and gynecologic problems like polycystic ovaries may have to be ruled out.
Refrain from plucking the hairs. If there are no associated conditions like hairs on the upper lip, excessive hairs on the legs ,then this does not need immediate intervention. Manipulating the area may only cause infections.
