Hairfall Treatment

Hi,
I have this hair fall and Dandruff problem for about 5 years now.The scalps would fall regularly and have itching condition also.  And my frontal baldness is starting to take shape..:( ..I consulted with my doctor and for the first month the doctor suggested "Hair 4 u solution"(2%) (Minoxidil and Amenixil) solution", along with kerato reducing shampoo and Zelita-7 tablets (daily one).

For the next month she prescribed Hair 4 u solution, along with the same shampoo and Follihair tablets(daily one)

Will these tablets and solution show desired results ? How long will it take for the lost hair to regrow ?
Do they have any significant side effects ?

Minoxidil is one medicine which is routinely prescribed for hair loss. From your symptoms I would like to rule out androgenic alopecia as well. It is a common form of hair loss and typically occurs in M shaped pattern.

Men who have this type of hair loss usually have inherited the trait. Other causes may be use of some drugs, infections and underlying disease, such as lupus or diabetes. A biopsy (taking a small sample of cells to examine under a microscope) of your scalp may be needed to establish the correct diagnosis.

Depending on your type of hair loss, treatments are available. Medicines which are useful are minoxidil and finasteride. Finally one can resort to hair transplantation also.
