Hand burn?

Hand burn?

Hello, I accidentally spilled scalding water on my hand two days ago.  The first two days it was light pink and pretty painful.  Today I woke up and it had turned red with a white flat center, it's only painful if something rubs against it.  I'm pretty clumsy and have burnt myself many times but my skins never reacted like this.  I just want to make sure it's not infected or anything.  I'm probably being paranoid, but I've attached a photo if anyone can help...

Hi,

Burns are categorized by severity as first, second, or third degree.  First-degree burns affect only the outer layer of the skin and  cause pain, redness, and swelling. On the other hand, second-degree burns affect both the outer and underlying layer of skin. They cause more intense pain, redness, swelling, and blistering. The skin turns white and loses sensation with third degree burns Without blistering, yours could just be a first degree burn. Minor burns will usually heal without further treatment. I could not access the photo you attached. However, local signs of burn wound infection include conversion of a partial-thickness injury to full-thickness wound, worsening cellulitis of surrounding normal tissue, eschar separation, and tissue necrosis.
