Hand infection

For about 2 months now, my hands have been getting these weird red bumps that its like crazy.  Sometimes they will go away, other times they will actually form up in patches.

The patches are ridiculously itchy, and i can't help but scratch/poke them sometimes.

I went to a doctor about it a month ago, and they put me on antibiotics and nystatin tryamcinolone ointment.  This actually cleared up the patches around my knuckles/ back of my left hand.  The one on the back of my left hand was huge.

There was one small patch that did not seem to be effected though on the back of my right thumb.

A week after I ran out of perscription for the antibiotic, the bumps everywhere else started reappearing.

I continue to take the nystatin stuff (I have 3 weeks of it) But it doesnt seem to do anything at all.  The patch on my thumb is getting huge.  Puss keeps draining out of it.  It looks more like a scab now, and every once in a while the area surrounding it will itch like no other, and little blisters appear.  I'm assuming popping these spreads it, but its difficult to ignore the itch.  The one i had before this on the top of my left hand wasn't even this bad.

I have tried switching soaps out.  I wash my hands a lot especially now since that sometimes helps the itching.  I have a dermatologist appointment on friday, but 3 days of pus draining out of this thing is going to drive me insane.  It only just started this waterfall of pus.

It only happens on my hands, and only on the tops.  My palms are completely clean.

Anything I can do to help this out for the next few days before my appointment?
