16 days ago, my 14-year-old son developed very red hands (palms and inside fingers). He said they had a burning sensation. The day prior, he handed out hot baked potatoes at a fundraiser dinner, wearing a type of rubber or plastic glove. We thought be burned his hands or had a reaction to the gloves. But then a couple days later, he had the same issue with his feet. The burning subsided after about 4 or 5 days. About a week ago, his hands starting peeling in shreds of skin. They continue to peel and are very leathery and white in the crevices. Looks horrible but they may be healing? The feet are not as bad as the hands.
No other symptoms at all. He has continued to play baseball through it all with no real issue there. What could this be?
