Help - Red irritation on tip of penis and underneath

Hello,

I'm a 28 year old male.  For the past year I have had an red irritation on the tip of my penis, sometimes around where the shaft and the head connect, and on the under part of the penis head starting from the urethra.  I also experience itchiness around my testicals sometimes.  Sometimes there's a red line that formulates down the shaft of my penis on the underside.  It's always there for the first inch or so starting from the head.  I've tried cordizon cream, anti yeast cream, anti fundgal cream, and some lotions and nothing seems to work.  I've seen two dermatologist at a top hospital in Chicago and the more experience one told me to use Cereva cream for a couple months and that it didn't look serious, only like simple irritation.  We had a follow up in late Feb but I just moved to California so wasn't able to see him (I did get a recommendation from him for a dermatologist in Cali and will be setting something up hopefully soon).  The Cereva lotion didn't work.  It does get a little worse after sex or masterbation and this problem just came out of no where about a year ago.

The thing is, no one seems to know what this is.  I thought balanitis (I'm circumsized however), because that's the closest to my symptoms, but I'm not sure.  Also, my partner tends to get yeast infections pretty regularily (which I read was a sign of balanitis) after sex.  I've been on anti-biotics too for a normal cold a couple months ago and nothing.  I'm at wits end.  It hurts to have sex, I'm not enjoying it, I've been tested and they found nothing, and I don't know what to do.  Thoughts/help?

I've attached a picture and the part I circled is where it really irritates and hurts.

Hi Mike,

I've had a similar problem for months now.  All STD tests came back negative, I've never seen a blister/sore, there's no stinging pain (just when I irritate it with my rough palm), etc.  But it would never go away, even when I refrained from sex and masturbation for weeks or MONTHS.  My dermatologists (I saw two of them to be safe) told me to keep putting moisturizer on it.  I ended up getting a molluscum infection secondary to it, and they lost track of the initial problem (the rash) that brought me there in the first place in their efforts to treat the stupid molluscum.  Very frustrating.

Only recently did I come across the condition known as Balantitis.  Check out some pictures and descriptions of it.  They look and sound just like what I (and possibly you) have!  I can't wait to see my doctors again and suggest this to them.

Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it looks like dermatitis or friction rub of the skin. . Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments. Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist and get a biopsy skin done.

I hope it helps . Take care and regards.

I have something similar but I also have a rash on the part " upper part " of my penis as well .   I don't know where it came from but it does burn when I rub it and it's very sensitive.   Does yours turn brighter red when in the bath or hot water ?

E mail me if sounds similar lavoie.***@****
