Hello, in the last 3 months my husband has been in the doctor to be operated of abscess (all of them around the genital area and he is very clean with himself) now for the 3rd time. This time we got it on time and was just a small cut...
He has been doing all the health check up and so far seems like all the blood levels and sugar is ok. But why could this happening so often?
Are you sure if its only a abscess (pus filled) due to infection?
Who mentioned it as abscess?
Do you mean a mass as abscess?
If its third time, did not the Doctor opt for histological and pathological examination of excised tissues or cavity?
When is the first time/time interval between two consecutive masses?
How did it start?
What is the nature of mass-solid,firm tender, soft/painful?/depressive?/movable?/consistency?/color changes of surrounding areas?/changes in size?Shape?surface? (this complete evaluation is generally done by Doctor or if you observed personally is also appreciated. or
Any point in history of illness that seems to be associated important with this problem?
It might be recurring due to internal reinfection (septicemia) or cancer (if its a mass mentioned as abscess),most Squamous cell carcinomas of penis may give such pattern around genital area.
So what is the exact location of the three excised abscesses?Pin point out location anatomically in general terms,if possible upload a picture.
The above mentioned questioned needs to be evaluated by attending surgeon or physician only after complete physical examination and lab investigations directed towards nature of abscess and its root cause.
Please comment with appropriate responses for my queries.
