Herpes on the hand?

by Amay1, Apr 17, 2009 11:35AM
I do have gential herpes and know what they look like and the symptoms.  I haven't had an outbreak in the genital area in about 6 months.   However, I have a strange breakout on the side of my hand that has appeared about every month.  It starts tingling, itching and a few blisters appear.  It turns into a large blister with the greenish and red color.  It lasts about a week maybe 2, scabs, and then when it disappears, I'm left with just a pink area.  Almost like a scar.  It has moved, each time it appears down the side of my hand.  Is this herpes, or can herpes appear on the body like this?
