Herpes or any STD?

by DEVOLD, May 24, 2005 12:00AM
I am a 35 year old heterosexual black male. Back in January I had unprotected sex with a female and normally we have protected sex. There were no issues then 2 weeks and a half weeks later I had unprotected sex with a different female but at the time she had a yeast infection and had inserted a 1 day cure earlier that day. After sex the cure was on my penis and I got up and washed it off. A week later I saw a small white bump on my scrotum so I wiped it with a towel and made it go away. Then 2 days later I had about 5 white bumps on the inside of my right thigh, they were not clustered but were kind of close. So I wiped them away with a baby wipe. They came back the next day and now it was maybe 8 bumps so I wiped them away as before. They came back the next day except now they were on the inside of both thighs. I wiped them away daily for about 2 weeks and they disappeared around 14 February. There was no pain, there was more mental anguish. Then around 17 February I got like a total of six 6 bumps on my lower body but they were spread out between both thighs and the back of my knee, on my schin and were far apart from each other. These scabbed up and went away after two weeks and maybe 4 of them would sting when my clothes rubbed against them. Around the middle of March, I began feeling a tingling sensation in my scrotum and anus when I would sit down while my underwear were sweaty from working outside. When my underear are sweaty and I'm sitting down, I feel the tingling. This has been going on everyday for about 2 and a half months. I tried Bonds Gold Powder and it helps the tingling for quite a while but later I may feel it and when I'm not feeling it, I think worry about it so much that it starts tingling. The inside of my thighs have gotten a little darker from where the painless bumps were back in February. I have no more bumps but the tingling is driving me crazy. Do I have herpes or some other STD?

Tingling of the type ans duration you describe reminds me of anxiety, not herpes.  The bumps, whatever they were, appeared in far too widespread an area (scrotum, thigh) to suggest herpes, apart from any other consideration.  If you continue, to worry, I recommend you see a doctor about a herpes blood test, just for reassurance.  Also, avoid unprotected sex....

Best.

I was diagnosed with GH and was perscribed Acyclovir.  Yesterday I noticed that my tounge was sore like I burned it but didn't eat anything hot with heat or spices and this morning I noticed 1 small bump on the inside of my lower lip that's not painful and under my tounge there's several redish color bumps that aren't painful.  Is it possible that I have herpes in my mouth? and if so will the Acyclovir work on that as well?
