Herpes symptoms - no blisters? Red scrotum

Herpes symptoms - no blisters? Red scrotum

Is it possible to have an outbreak where there are no blisters, only small red dots that appear and clear up quickly? the dots are not raised, don't itch, etc,
They formed on the inside of my leg by my left scrotum.

Scrotum is now a bright red color all over, does not extend elsewhere. Issue has gone on for ~ 4 weeks

Hello,
Herpes presents as painful blisters which scab over. These small bumps can be due to folliculitis skin. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

I hope it helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Thanks. I've never had painful blisters but I do have a scrotum that is constantly red and irritated (kind of itches, mild burning feelings at time). It has not responded to anti-fungals, anti-biotics, etc
Has persisted for 6 weeks now. I've seen 7 different doctors (derma, urol, neuro, infectious disease) - got diagnosis ranging from fungal to bacterial to "Red Scrotum Nerve Irritation" to "no problem just ignore". STD tests have been negative for all so far.
