Hi,
Hidradenitis suppurativa is a skin disease that affects areas bearing apocrine sweat glands and hair follicles; such as the underarms, groin and buttocks. manifests as clusters of abscesses or boils, that are extremely painful to the touch and may persist for years with occasional to frequent periods of inflammation and drainage of pus, often leaving open wounds that will not heal. This may be triggered by stress, perspiration, hormonal changes, humid heat, and clothing friction.
Treatments may vary depending upon presentation and severity of the disease. Warm compresses may help to induce drainage and medications are used to reduce inflammation and treat bacterial infection. In some cases, incision and drainage or lancing may provide relief. If your symptoms persist and with discomfort, it would be best to see your doctor for proper management. I have just had my bloods tested so will be going back again soon.
