Hi all so I'm a 31 year old male. Never been allergic to anything in my lIfe apart from pollen. I've recently been getting hives on my body normally when I wake up in the morning. This has been going on for about 3 weeks now.
I went to see my doctor last week and he told me I had a food allergy and have me some stronger antihistamines to help with itching
out various foods in my diet but nothing seems to work.
Although I thought I saw a change in my symptoms last night as the hives don't appear on my legs so much but more on my upper body. It got to about mid night and I realised I'd. come up all on my shoulders
Could it still be a food allergy? I did have a coffee before about 9pm but I'd prevousily drunk coffee in the morning without any problems.
I'm confused and not really sure what to do. I'm getting a little fed up. I'm due to go back to my doctor next week maybe he can do a skin test to see what I'm allergic to.
The most common food allergens are nuts, dairy, gluten and soy. But some people are allergic to different fruits also. It takes a lot of work to avoid gluten and dairy, but it is worth it. Get tested for Celiac disease.
