on my arms, legs, side, around my eyes, and around my mouth. It comes and goes and I have cream for it, but nothing makes it go away completely. A few weeks ago, however, I woke up with what seemed to me like eczema all over my legs and arms when my condition had been improving. It was also much more itchy and uncomfortable than before. I was wondering if this could have been hives. The night before I drank whisky for the first time, and I know I am not allergic to other types of alcohol, but has anyone heard of anything like this before? I would test it out, but I have heard allergies like this can get worse every time you have the substance
Hello,
It can be hives or eczema but the possibility of eczema is more likely. However in both you need antihistaminics and steroids. You may try calamine lotion on the rash. You should also maintain hygiene and try to keep the area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. You can also use a barrier cream with zinc oxide paste or calamine lotion or a mild steroid cream like dermacort on the rash. For the itchiness, you can take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin.
