I was recently diagnosed with pityriasis rosacea. My entire trunk was full of the eruptions, but now they are flat, very dry, and a lot lighter than my skin colorColor blindness Color blindness tests Color vision test (I'm Asian). I was diagnosed about 3 months ago and I am still getting smaller eruptions on my arms. Please help!
If the rash lasts more than 3 months, it would be best to have this evaluated further by your doctor. Keep the itchy area cool and moist and avoid taking hot showers or baths.
That's what I don't get DOC... Some of us are suffering out here and all of the Medical Professionals say it's harmless?? It is actually quite harmful to the epidermis and to ones mentalMental retardation Mental status tests well being... I think further research needs to be done on this disease before people like yourself just come out and say that it's harmless..... Please.
Pityriasis rosea is a harmless, common skin problem that causes a rash. The cause of pityriasis rosea is unknown. Unlike many other skin conditions, it is not an allergic reaction or caused by a fungus or bacteria. It will usually go away in 6 to 8 weeks without treatment. If the rash itches, skin lotions and lubricants may help. If symptoms are severe, anti-inflammatory medicines such as corticosteroids may be used to relieve itching and reduce the rash. Exposing the rash to sunlight may make it go away more quickly.
