How to get rid of chicken pox scars

Hi, I'm a 25 year old guy, had chicken pox 8 years ago and it left lots of scars and pits on my face, (scars are a bit dark in color and pits are a little deep), but later on there is this big dark mark on my nose just on the tip. for every few days there is some dead skin growing on the spot and it gets harder and darker making my face look really ugly,

Is there any treatment to get rid of these marks off my face. can I remove these marks surgically especially the ones on my nose without any side effects....

Please help.

Hello,

The treatment for hyperpigmentation due to chicken pox includes various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment.Apply hydroquinone cream on the scars and it should go away in a few days to months. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. Avoid picking, harsh scrubbing, and abrasive treatments unless prescribed by a dermatologist during this period.Wash your face with a mild soap like dove or cetaphil and pat it dry instead of rubbing.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted if you have any additional queries.

hello veedhirajesh,
how are you? The problem with chicken pox scars is that they are very difficult to go. You need to consult a good dermatologist or a cosmetic surgeon , if you want a permanent treatment for it.

Don't fall for useless treatment option from a non-specialist.

Keep us posted,
